FOOD/BODY/SOUL GROUP: These groups are designed to teach relaxation, promote movement and help clients become mindful of their body and appetite. Mindful eating techniques are taught as a natural way to manage weight and emotional overeating. Wear comfortable clothes to this group and a healthy, delicious meal is included. Art therapy helps people resolve conflicts, improve interpersonal skills, reduce stress and depression, and improve self esteem. We are offering a 6 week Art Therapy program for Middle School Girls who have begin to display issues with mood or friendships. These groups will be led by Board Certified Art Therapist, Karen Peacock and co-facilitated by Jessica Shea, LCSW. Sessions will be on Mondays from 10:00- 11:30 beginning June 24. One of the most painful aspect of being a parent is watching your child repeat your own mistakes. This is a 4 week group series, Starting June 8 at 4PM, to create our own personal genogram. You will learn what is important to know about your family tree and how to map it out and identify patterns. This is an intensive group that requires several hours of "homework" per week.
