Vaniessa Swindle-Jones, MS
Vaniessa has been a Mental Health and Behavioral Therapist since 1996. She is well rounded, easy to talk to, and works with both adolescent and adult clients. She specializes in helping adolescents find their voices and path in life, and is experienced in helping teens who deal with depression, anxiety, and substance abuse problems reach their best selves.
For more than 20 years, Vaniessa has worked with adolescents and their families. Even if some don’t recognize it anyway, everyone has the energy and desire to want to change and develop into a stronger individual. Especially as a young person, it can be be hard not to feel alone when struggling. Vaniessa understands that people want someone to listen to them without being judged or made to feel like something is wrong with them, and is happy to help clients realize their value and overcome any hardship.
Vaniessa’s hobbies include reading, crossword puzzles, shopping, and traveling. She has a fun personality and loves to laugh, especially with clients who will laugh with her.
Rebecca Burbeck, M.S., P-LPC
Rebecca is a charismatic and caring pre-licensed therapist from Memphis who has over 8 years of experience working with clients using therapeutic activities as a tool to help clients who have experienced severe trauma. She has strong expertise in communicating with children and families of all socioeconomic backgrounds under stressful situations.
Rebecca chose her profession to stand as an advocate for children who are trying to cope with situations beyond their control. As a child of divorce herself, she understands how difficult it can be to navigate through uncertainties of major life changes and the day-to-day anxieties that accompany growing up.
Rebecca works with children, teens, and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, life stressors, interpersonal conflicts, family conflict, bullying, and major life changes like death or divorce.
Rebecca has an authentic love for helping others, which she believes is the most important quality in a great provider. With clients who wish to incorporate faith-based counseling into their sessions, Rebecca can do so when requested. She welcomes those with all religious beliefs and backgrounds, and prides herself in creating a warm, accepting and non-judgemental environment for her clients to work on their unique goals and objectives.
Shae Pugliese, MFT
Shae is committed to providing a safe, comfortable space where individuals, couples, and families can navigate life’s challenges. She understands the vulnerability it takes to take the first step and is passionate about building a strong therapeutic relationship, where the client feels supported and empowered through the entire process. Shae believes that therapy is a collaboration where the client is involved in the exploration and accountable for the growth made in sessions.
Shae considers herself warm, authentic, compassionate, and overall excited to work with people from all walks of life. She has experience with addiction recovery, residential crisis facilities, and has facilitated group therapy with adults and adolescents. Some of Shae’s clinical interests include life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, improving self-esteem and relationships.
She also understands that every client and family is unique and there is not a one-fits-all treatment approach. With that said, she works to understand each client’s perspective using a multicultural lens meeting the client where they are.
Shae is a certified NLP life coach and trained in the Gottman method to work with couples. She is trained in a variety of modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Trauma in Schools, and treatment strategies to inspire hope. In sessions, she incorporates both a modern and postmodern approach using a variety of theories including Bowen Family Systems, Structural Family Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
