Forward Counseling is seeking compassionate and qualified Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP or FNP with mental health experience) to join our team as Independent Contractors at our outpatient mental health facility. We provide a warm, supportive environment where your focus can remain on clinical care while we handle the rest.

Minimum Qualifications:

Active Tennessee Nurse Practitioner license
PMHNP certification preferred; FNPs with behavioral health experience also encouraged to apply
Current DEA license
Malpractice insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Strong documentation and independent clinical decision-making skills
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Experience in outpatient mental health care is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Perform psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management for clients with mental health conditions
Collaborate with therapists, medical staff, and care coordinators as part of a multidisciplinary team
Provide care in person, via telehealth, or a combination of both—based on your preference
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
Deliver care in accordance with professional standards and ethical guidelines
